Dvorský is expected to achieve great success in the draft. However, not everyone sees it the same way
He even considers the nineteen-year-old from Košice the greatest hope for a right-winger position. The “knights” chose Demak in last year’s debut draft in the fourth round from the 128th place in the general classification.
“Demek is quite a versatile player. It uses its strong frame to cover the puck and pass through the center of the rink. It can shoot or pass even when an opponent hangs on it. He still needs to improve his speed, but when he starts playing he’s hard to counter the insanity of the defenders ” wrote a Ferrari to Demek, who triumphed in the Canadian WHL junior competition with Edmonton Oil Kings in the 2021/2022 season. In his first year abroad, he collected 54 points (20 + 34) in 55 regular season matches, and in the playoffs he shone 17 points (5 + 12) in 19 games.
The graduate of HC Košice has already played in the Slovak league, in the 2020/2021 season he made two assists in ten games of the regular season and played twice in the playoffs. He finished his first major international tournament in August this year, when he represented Slovakia at the U-20 World Cup in Edmonton, Canada. In four matches he scored one goal assist.
